Even in retirement, Westminster educators continue driving student success. The Westminster Retired School Employees Association (WRSEA) provides a vibrant community for retirees and support for current students. With a blend of long-time veterans and more recently retired staff, the association proves that a commitment to WPS students is truly a lifelong calling. 

"What connects us is a love of education, a love of this district, and wanting to see young people thrive,” said WRSEA Secretary Frances Davison.

Championing the Next Generation

At the heart of WRSEA is an unwavering focus on lifting up local students. Last year alone, the group awarded an incredible $17,000 in scholarships to four deserving WPS graduates—providing crucial financial support as these students take their next big steps.

As WRSEA President Jim Flowers puts it, "The scholarships are where people’s eyes light up—it's the glue that keeps us coming." For our district, seeing former educators directly invest in student futures long after retirement is a powerful reminder of their lasting impact.
